A WINONA TRADITION: Winona Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) once again offers an exciting soccer experience for kids age 5 through 10. Basic soccer skills training is offered by experienced coaches and focuses on proper ball control techniques. Small-sided recreational games (4 x 4) are a part of each session as a great way for players to get multiple touches on the ball. Each child is given every opportunity to succeed and have lots of fun!
Dates: There will be 10 sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sessions will be held on 5/24, 5/29, 5/31, 6/5, 6/7, 6/12, 6/14, 6/19, 6/21, and 6/26. June 28 is reserved for a make-up in case of bad weather.
AGE GROUPS
Group A – 5-6 years; 4:00-4:45PM
Group B – 7-8 years; 5:00-6:00PM
Group C – 9-10 years; 5:00-6:00PM
Location: Cotter Fields (located on Gilmore Avenue)
Items to bring: Water, shin guards and soccer shoes (tennis shoes are acceptable but baseball cleats are not)
Cost: Includes tournament style t-shirt
$45 for 10 sessions of micro soccer on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5/24 to 6/26.
Kohl’s American Cup: Saturday, July 7, 2012: Northfield, MN. Teams will be taken to the Kohl’s Cup depending on interest. Additional information is forthcoming and cost per player is $10 plus responsibility of travel costs to tournament in Northfield.
