INFORMATION ON MICRO SOCCER IS HERE!
Winona Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) will offer an exciting soccer experience for kids age 6 through 11. Basic soccer skills training will be offered by experienced coaches and will focus on proper ball control techniques. Small-sided games (4 x 4) will be part of each session. These recreational games are a great way for players to get multiple touches on the ball. By playing games on small fields with only four players to a side, each child will have every opportunity to succeed and the kids will have lots of fun!
Dates: There will be 10 sessions held on Mondays and Wednesdays. Sessions will be held on 5/24, 5/26, 6/2, 6/7, 6/9, 6/14, 6/16, 6/21, 6/23 and 6/28. June 30 is reserved for a make-up in case of bad weather.
Age groups:Group A – ages 6 and 7; Group B – ages 8 and 9; Group C – ages 10 and 11
Time: Group A will meet from 4:00 – 4:45 p.m. Groups B and C will meet from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Location: Cotter Fields (located on Gilmore Avenue)
Items to bring: Water, shin guards and soccer shoes (tennis shoes are acceptable but baseball cleats are not)
Cost: $45 (this cost includes a T-shirt)
